Equipping Parents of Tweens and Teens

We believe parents are still the most influential person in their child’s life, and we are excited to offer this new opportunity to parents in our community.

The Whole Sex Talk™ is a Biblically-based, six-session multimedia program that empowers parents to have healthy, ongoing conversations with their kids about love, sex, and relationships. Created by the Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Rapids, the program includes six sessions that utilize short films, brutally honest parent and teen testimonials, expert panel interviews and more.

We want to help equip you, and encourage you, to keep going in your efforts to prepare your children for a healthy future.

Space is limited. The sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm beginning April 4th. Suggested donation of $5 to cover the cost of the participant guide.

“When I signed up for The Talk, I thought I was going to take a class on how to talk to my kids about sex. What I got was an eye opening, yet soundly equipping, class on how to reach my kid in what they’re going through as they grow up in our culture. To hear from varied professionals across different areas of life, the many experiences others have walked through in this class; it all points to the fact that we as parents have to be the ones to start the conversation. And to keep it open, from sex to relationships and everything else- we have to have the hard conversations and then be willing to show immense grace and love when our kids do come to us with their struggles. As parents, many of us weren’t taught how to handle these topics well, perhaps many of us struggle with some of these topics because they hit too close to home. We all need this, for equipping as parents and maybe even to find some healing and grace for ourselves. Ultimately our kids need us to be equipped for them.”
